The Sindons

The SINDONS are from the large SAINDON family.

Around 1880, Augustin Saindon from Cacouna, moves to Moose Creek in Ontario. He will live there aound 30 years.

During his stay, his name is spelled SINDON by the enumerators of the census and the clergy instead of SAINDON.

He kept tthis spelling  when he came back to Québec at Valleyfield.. His descendants did the same.
