New Plaque at Cacouna

   As planned, the new plaque indicating the birthplace of Michel Saindon in Bains-sur-Oust was installed at the ancestral home in Cacouna.

   We are hoping to have an official unveiling with our visitors from Brittany, who are still planning to  come when the situation permits.

   The financing campaign last Spring collected $1307.04 from sponsoring members of the Association; the cost of the plaque and its installation was $747.34. The remaining funds will go to our 25th Anniversary commemorations as we had previously announced.

65th Wedding Anniversary

Gilles Maloney

   Gilles, professor of ancient Greek language and literature at the Faculty of Letters of Laval University; retired, husband of Marie-Nicole Saindon, has just published “Moi, Aristote”.

   Congratulations to Guillaume Saindon, son of Daniel et Sylvaine Lebel of L'Isle-Verte, for his nomination as judge to the Tribunal administratif du Travail of the Government of Québec. He is an associate at the legal firm Morency, avocats associés de Québec
